For her outstanding contributions as an elementary teacher, Carolynn is recognized on the Donors’ Wall of Fame by Walnut Elementary School Faculty and Staff of Emporia, Kansas.

Caroynn Davidson began her teaching career at Walnut Elementary School in Emporia, Kansas in 1976.  Before teaching at Walnut, she substituted in USD253 for three years.  When she began teaching at Walnut, Charles Bradbury was the principal.  She has taught first grade for twenty-four years.  

Carolynn won the Golden Apple Award in 1999. She has served on many district committees over the years, including Emporia Teachers Council.  She was a member of Kansas Reading Association and Kansas Association of Teachers of Science.

Carolynn has touch many lives during her teaching career.  Mrs. Davidson was always kind and understanding.  I remember Mrs. Davidson as being firm but fun, always teaching us things creatively.  She’s always been a cherished friend.  I like Mrs. Davidson because she always winked at me and made me feel good.
