"The true accomplishments that a teacher cherishes are the successes of the children that she touches." -- Kathleen McGrath
Kathleen's focus of teaching and learning in the classroom is based on five main concepts. Every child in her class TRIES. TRIES stands for Trust, Relationships, Involvement, Expectations, and Success.
She creates a learning environment where students feel safe to take risks and strive to do their personal best each day. Her classroom is a safe haven, the place where anything is possible. Learning is a natural thing in her classroom, a challenge the students accept each day.
"She is a conscientious professional who utilizes instructional techniques in her classroom which promotes using self-discovery, research and exploration to achieve. She promotes student learning through love of knowledge and 'how' to learn." --Jim Warford, Superintendent, Marion County Public Schools
"Katie McGrath motivates and involves each child she touches. She cares about each and every student, and she works to help each child reach their potential.
