2006 NTHF Auction Results
The National Teachers Hall of Fame, an organization established in 1989 to honor PreK- 12 teachers and the teaching profession, hosted its annual auction Nov. 14 – 16. This year’s auction raised $17,076, which will be used to support the NTHF’s educational programs that address the recognition, recruitment, and retention of early career teachers. Read More

NTHF inductee named national finalist for Teacher of the Year
Ron Poplau, National Teacher Hall of Fame Inductee (Class of 1999) and 2006 Kansas Teacher of the Year, was recently named as one of four finalists for the 2006 National Teacher of the Year. The announcement for the national honor was made by the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO). The National Teacher of the Year program, presented by the ING Foundation, is a project of CCSSO and is sponsored by Scholastic Inc. Read More
