Marilyn measures her success yearly, personally, internally, as she hopes her students will, rather than seeing themselves primarily through the eyes of others. Her goal is for her students to gain at the very least a basic understanding and some acceptance of a culture that will more and more impact their society.

Randy believes that success-centered classrooms are built from an atmosphere of trust, tested expectations, and respect and are defined by a feeling of safe haven for all individuals to grow toward success. At the philosophical core of his approach to teaching and learning, is the belief that all things are possible and that intellectual and artistic growth can happen in individuals at any point in time.

john mahoney

John believes that a good teacher builds on success, not failure, and that’s what he tries to accomplish with his students. He endeavors to understand the individual needs of his students, to encourage their talents, and to foster their self-esteem. John says he is a mathematics teacher, but his main role is that of a teacher of high school students. Mathematics is his vehicle for teaching students.
