For her outstanding contributions as a high school Home Economics teacher, Idy is recognized on the Donors’ Wall of Fame by Kimera Maxwell of Emporia, Kansas. According to Kimera:
Mrs. B. recognized in me a glimmer of talent and potential when I was in eighth grade. Upon my arrival in high school, she encouraged me to become active in FHA. Thanks to her guidance, motivation, and support, I had the chance to be a state officer and national officer candidate. She gave me a solid foundation in public speaking and presentation skills that serve me today. She took a “rough,” “naïve,” “lump of coal” and polished me to believe I could be a diamond. Most importantly, she believed in me. I trace my accomplishments over the years to her influence. She truly built a life. I will be forever indebted to her. Idy Bramlet taught at Niobrara County High School in Lusk, Wyoming. She was also the Future Homemakers of America (FHA) sponsor and Freshman class sponsor.
