Loretto A. Langley, KS

​For her outstanding contributions as a junior high and senior high business and typing teacher, Loretto is recognized on the Donors’ Wall of Fame by George and Elinor Osborn of Emporia, Kansas.
Loretto A. Langley was born in Emporia, Kansas.  Her parents were John S. and Elizabeth Langley.  Loretto graduated from Emporia State University with a B.S. in Commerce.  She taught for two years at Lowther Junior High and thirty-eight years at Emporia Senior High.  She spent forty years teaching penmanship, typing, shorthand, and business math.  After that, Miss Langley established many scholarships at Emporia State University.  Loretto was also interested in banking, and she served a bank board director and managed pasture land.
Loretto taught business, typing, penmanship, and bookkeeping for forty years at USD253 before retiring in 1966.
