For her outstanding contributions as a third grade teacher, Debra is recognized on the Donors’ Wall of Fame by Walnut Elementary School of Emporia, Kansas.
Debbie Carter has inspired teachers as well as children to do their best and be a contributing part of society.  She still instills values in children to help them get along with all types of people, never give up, and achieve their personal best.  She is a mentor to other teachers with years of changing curriculum teaching styles and mission statements.  Debra Carter is a master teacher.  Deb cares about her students and she cares that they succeed.  She lets them know that she is there for them and will help them in any way that she can.  She allows students to explore their own interest and strengths while helping them to build up their weak areas.  She has given of herself to so many students over the years; she is truly a special teacher.
